Launch the first ever Michelin Guide fine dining promotion with a national media partner
It was our idea to talk to Michelin Guides and agree with them to contact all restaurants featured in their 2009 UK guide to run a premium fine dining promotion. We approached the Telegraph to feature the promotion and also secured Bonne Maman, the French groceries company to sponsor it. We created a dining promotion offering 3 courses for £15, £20 and £25 per person. Interest from restaurants was phenomenal - the most successful response we've ever had. Featuring Michelin-starred restaurants across the UK, the promotion launched in early July 2009 with nearly 400 participating outlets.
The Telegraph were able to launch the first ever dining promotion with the Michelin-rated restaurants; Bonne Maman were able to show off their brand and products each day in-paper for a week and Michelin Guides were able to secure valuable mid-year brand exposure.
Feedback to date from all key partners has been excellent (some restaurants have asked why we didn't run this before!) and we're expecting strong uptake from readers over the summer.
