To provide an IVR restaurant locator service for Beefeater which also transferred callers to their nearest restaurant to make a booking.
An automated “Where’s My Nearest” IVR solution was developed. The system identified the customers telephone number, offered their nearest restaurant including directions and the opportunity to be connected to make a booking.
The IVR system significantly reduced the call traffic into Whitbread’s head office and had the added benefit of converting enquiries into bookings. Customers were also texted promotional offers using the database generated by the locator service.
An increase in restaurant bookings and a flexible and scalable service which could be updated as restaurants were opened, closed or refurbished.
